Snowpocalypse has come and gone and there was one day where we couldn't get the car out of the neighborhood and therefor had to skip work that night. I felt bad about missing work, and so I made myself be productive at home and was able to wrap up a lot of things. Sooo... the garden hose hoop skirt idea kinda fell through. I left it on the dress form and the hose started collapsing in upon itself. It might have been because I didn't put all of the hoops in channels or it could have been something else, but I used that as the motivation I needed to give in and pay up for the supplies to make a proper one. I think it's because it feels like I'm admitting how little progress I feel like I've made on them, so I keep talking myself into waiting until I've gotten them just a little more done. Have been productive lately. It's nice. Over the holiday weekend it was a Regency petticoat in addition to other smaller projects and this last weekend it was an early Victorian(ish) hoopskirt made from garden hose and bed sheets with a petticoat to match.
